The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is a national body composed of Catholic bishops from the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands that coordinates pastoral activities for the Catholic faithful. Its work draws on the Gospel and Church teachings and is organized around three main mission goals. The three goals are to collaborate on pressing issues facing the Church and society, to maintain communion with the global Church under the Pope, and to support individual bishops in their local ministries.
