Valley Diabetes & Obesity (Modesto, CA)  is a private medical practice on the front lines of the diabetes epidemic delivering advanced diabetes management for the communities in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties.

Dr. Gopika Gangupantula (Dr G), a Board Certified Family Physician, is the only Diabetologist in the Central Valley, California to be Fellowship trained in Diabetes.  Dr G is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. In addition to providing primary care, she treats patients with  Type I, Type II and Gestational diabetes and leveraging technologies such as Insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose monitors. Since 2002, Dr G has been in the Modesto area, providing care for the region’s most complex diabetes patients, and preventing the onset of Diabetes for patients with pre-diabetes.

Dr G is a passionate advocate of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and to educate and empower her patients to live & enjoy their life the fullest, even with Diabetes. She is an active participant in the leading Diabetes treatments and is a visiting faculty at the local Family Medicine Residency program, providing hands-on training to medical residents in advanced diabetes management. Dr G currently also manages a Diabetes Speciality clinic setup for the Stanislaus county to care for the underserved.
