Santa Clara Valley Water District is a public utilities organization that manages an integrated water resources system for Santa Clara County, serving nearly 2 million residents. It provides a reliable supply of clean water, safeguards communities from flooding, and oversees stewardship of streams throughout the region. Its physical infrastructure includes 10 dams and surface water reservoirs, three water treatment plants, a modern water quality laboratory, about 400 acres of groundwater recharge ponds, and more than 275 miles of streams. The district offers wholesale water and groundwater management services to local municipalities and private water retailers responsible for delivering drinking water to homes and businesses. Based in Santa Clara County in the United States and operating within the utilities sector, Valley Water pursues ongoing capital planning and improvements, including a Capital Improvement Program Five-Year Plan introduced in 2026.
