Van Sande Structural Consultants, Inc. provides structural engineering services to architects, governmental agencies, and contractors for projects with a wide range of functions. The firm employs six engineers, (each with at least 10 years of experience in the profession) and five experienced CAD drafters. Our experience also includes structural investigation and forensic studies; seismic strengthening of unreinforced masonry buildings; remodels and additions; construction administration and shop drawing review. The firm has considerable expertise in working with various building construction techniques and materials such as wood frame, masonry, cast-in-place and precast/prestressed concrete, conventional and three-dimensional ductile moment-resisting steel frames, and computer modeling and finite element analysis. We also have considerable experience in the use of “Green” materials such as adobe, straw bale, Rastra, structural insulating panels, recycled concrete, recycled lumber, engineered wood products and adaptive re-use.
