Upon instituting these principles, the staff was able to achieve a deficiency free health inspection or survey in November from the Ohio Department of Health.  Less than 10% of licensed long term care facilities achieve this standard of quality.  
The facility received an overall score of 91.2% on the most recent Nursing Home Resident Satisfaction Survey.  This score is well above the state average of 86.3%.  
Family members are satisfied with the care their loved ones receive and 96% would recommend The Wellington to others, according to the Nursing Home Family Satisfaction Survey.  The statewide average satisfaction score for facilities was 88.2%.  Vancrest received an overall satisfaction score of 93.4%.  Families rated Direct Care and Nursing Staff, Activities, Resident and Facility Environment above 90%.
The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid unveiled a new system for ranking nursing homes on its Web site.  Vancrest (dba The Wellington) received 4 out of 5 stars on the new rating system.  This rating system grades facilities on Health Inspections or Surveys, Nursing Staff and Quality Measures.
