VaxInnate is a privately-held biotechnology company in Cranbury, NJ that is pioneering breakthrough technology for use in developing novel and proprietary vaccines. The Company's vaccine platform is based on Toll-like receptor (TLR) technology, which dramatically improves vaccine immunogenicity and efficacy. The technology involves genetically fusing vaccine antigens to the bacterial protein flagellin, a potent stimulator of the innate immune system. Using this technology, vaccines can be produced by low-cost, highly-scalable recombinant DNA techniques, avoiding many of the challenges and pitfalls of egg-based or cell-culture vaccine production. VaxInnate’s current vaccines in development focus on infectious diseases, including seasonal and pandemic flu, dengue and Clostridium difficile.
