VEMA is a physician-owned and managed group founded over 25 years ago.  Our team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and scribes support specialties in top-tier hospitals throughout Northern Virginia. 

VEMA team members care for patients during their most critical moments.  When our patients enter the emergency department or are facing a hospital stay, they are often frightened, in pain, overwhelmed, and vulnerable.  They rely on health care professionals who are at the top of their game.

Innovation:
VEMA providers are always looking for ways to make healthcare safer and more efficient.  When we instituted the Simulation Lab at the Inova Fair Oaks Emergency Department, it was the first-ever Simulation Lab in Northern Virginia.  Since its inception in 2011, our physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners have used the Simulation Lab countless times to hone their skills, shorten response times, and save lives.
