Efficiency Smart helps communities become stronger and more sustainable by empowering their residents and businesses with resources that allow them to reduce energy use. Through reduced consumption and lower energy bills, residents can improve their quality of life and businesses can become more resilient entities within their communities. Efficiency Smart provides resources, financial incentives and technical assistance for energy efficiency projects large and small. We are customer- and community-focused; flexible in meeting the needs of our partners and their customers; and committed to community, workforce and economic development. Efficiency Smart services include: • Rebates for energy-efficient products, discounts on energy-efficient lighting, a free meter loan service and financial rewards for recycling secondary refrigerators and freezers for residential customers. • Rebates for more than 90 improvements for businesses with annual electric usage of 20,000 to 500,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh), including lighting and lighting controls; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); refrigeration; electric heating; food service equipment and compressed air and motors. • Tailored services with dedicated account management, customized financial incentives and technical assistance for organizations that use more than 500,000 kWh of electricity annually. Efficiency Smart was established by AMP for the benefit of its member communities and is administered under contract with the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. Operations are based in Columbus, Ohio.
