Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard is a Pittsburgh-area nonprofit organization that provides housing and comprehensive support services to homeless veterans. Its programs include a 48-bed Transitional Housing Program offering up to 24 months of residence, case management, recovery support, clothing, an on-site food pantry, employment assistance, and other services aimed at fostering self-sufficiency and independent living. The organization also operates a daily Homeless Veterans Day Program that transports veterans from shelters or on the streets to its Service Center, where they receive meals, clothing, case management, referrals, and access to services addressing underlying issues such as chemical dependency and mental illness. Through partnerships with the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and other community groups, Veterans Place pursues long-term residential stability, sobriety, and integration as contributing members of the community.
