Opened in June of 1930 by our grandfather, Robert S. Vidler, Sr., our family has continuously owned and operated this landmark store with the 3rd generation now running the business on a daily basis.

The largest five and dime variety store in the world with 2 levels occupying four, connected 19th century buildings and over 16,000 sq. feet of selling space, our many counters and shelves overflow with a wide variety of merchandise. From nostalgic candy, novelty toys and kitchen gadgets to the newest items for the recreational shopper, one can spend hours discovering unique items.

Take a trip down memory lane as you stroll down our original wooden floors, find something you don't need but definitely want and hear the delighted laughter of kids taking a .10 cent ride on Sandy, our mechanical horse.
