Vineyard Montessori School (VMS) is the largest independent, non-profit school on Martha’s Vineyard. Committed to providing an excellent educational foundation for each and every student, VMS offers an equitable and joyful environment where children foster a lifetime love of learning. Our carefully curated Montessori classrooms are designed to stimulate growth and the joy of learning in a warm, accepting environment. With classes of multi-age groupings, we offer a Toddler Program for ages 1.5 - 3 years, Primary Program for 3-6 years, and Elementary and Middle School programs for 6-9 years, 9-12 years, and 13-14 years. VMS is proud to have deep affiliations with statewide, national, and global Montessori organizations as well as with local partners on Martha’s Vineyard. We are a unique community, made up of inspiring educators and leaders who deeply value diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ), all of which are integral parts of the Montessori philosophy.
