Founded in 1983, Virtual Technology, Inc. is a privately held company located in Troy, Michigan. The company was founded by former executives of the Burroughs Corporation, now known as Unisys. The company originally provided mainframe equipment and became the first to develop proprietary hardware disk arrays and tape arrays for extremely large Unisys sites. Our customers include fortune 500 companies, automotive suppliers, telecommunications, government facilities, universities, internet service providers, health care providers, hospitals and financial institutions.

In 1995, Virtual Technology began providing products and services for UNIX based systems. Virtual is unique, as it addresses the needs of large server sites the same way large mainframe sites are accustomed to being supported.
