The Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to optimizing the health and well-being of the people in our region.  Since 1909, VNASC and its predecessor organizations have been caring for everyone from the elderly who wish to remain in their homes for as long as they can and patients recovering from surgery or illness, to new mothers, schoolchildren, and the homeless.   
    
      We use the most current medical advances and technologies in home healthcare, and strengthen community resources for everyone.  VNASC is made up of three major components, each with its own set of goals and objectives, healthcare professionals, technologies and challenges:  home health care, school nursing, and community wellness.

     We consistently meet the stringent quality assurance requirements of Medicare, insurance companies, and the many other organizations to which we are accountable, and our outcomes consistently outpace other agencies.  While the future of healthcare may be uncertain, we believe that VNASC is going to continue to play a strong and very likely expanding role in the evolving story of how people in southeastern Connecticut live their best lives.  Our vision is “to be the preeminent home and community health care provider in the region,” and we are continuing to meet that challenge.
