Vodec is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1968 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, by a group of parents, teachers and elected officials who wanted a community-based work program for their loved ones. 

Our mission is to provide services to persons with disabilities in order that those persons may live, work and participate in the community in the least restrictive environment to achieve their full potential.  

Today, we offer day, employment and residential services to Nebraska and Iowa consumers through our development centers in Omaha, Council Bluffs and Urbandale, Iowa.
