Washed Ashore is a nonprofit organization addressing plastic pollution through art and education. It creates large-scale sculptures to inform a global audience about plastic pollution in oceans and waterways and to encourage changes in consumer habits. Over the past decade, it has processed more than 35 tons of plastic from Pacific Northwest beaches to produce more than 85 artworks, which have been shown at venues including the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Disney, and numerous zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens across the United States. Based in Bandon, southwestern Oregon, Washed Ashore operates as a small nonprofit. In March 2025, it announced a partnership with SeaWorld and SeaWorld San Diego to present a new art installation focusing on jellyfish and ocean health.
