As the local bar association for Northern Nevada since 1905, the goal of the Washoe County Bar Association continues to be promoting professionalism, ethics and service amongst those legal professionals practicing law in our region as well as to our respective communities. 
Member-benefits of the WCBA includes two free annual social events where the legal professionals in our community can speak to and interact with one another outside of the adversarial process; access to our free and searchable bi monthly publication, The Writ, which includes articles and updates from local attorneys and the Courts on recent developments in the law; free or discounted CLE webinars throughout the year; in-person CLE luncheons; monthly e-newsletter keeping you informed of the latest developments and Court updates: an online pictorial directory; discounted ABA books; and our partners, Dillon Health and Prominence Health, offer discounted insurance rates on groups of two or more.
Membership with WCBA helps promote legal education in the community by allowing us to host judicial investiture receptions, receptions for new admittees to the Bar, sponsorship of the High School Mock Trials in Northern Nevada, and provide financial support to Northern Nevada Legal Aid and the Law Library, who respectively offer pro-bono and discounted legal services to those in need.
