WAY Alliance is a North Texas 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping youth with foster care experience (ages 14-24) develop the relationships, resources, and skills they need to thrive in adulthood. Our programming includes one-to-one mentoring, connections to local resources for housing, education, jobs, etc., life skills training, and recreational opportunities. OUR VISION is a community where all youth in North Texas transitioning from foster care to independence: • are connected to caring adults who support them. • have a safe place to live. • are mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy. • are secure in who they are and where they've been. • are motivated to achieve their goals. • are earnestly pursuing an education or training that will set them up for future success. To turn that vision into reality, OUR MISSION is to: • connect youth ages 14-24 who have experienced foster care with a supportive adult who has been trained as a strengths-based, trauma-informed mentor. • meet the physical, educational, and financial needs of the youth by connecting them to resources in the community. • introduce youth to new opportunities where they can learn and practice important life skills.
