Wayfinder Family Services is a California nonprofit focused on individual and family services, based in Los Angeles. Founded in 1953 as the Foundation for the Junior Blind, it has evolved into a statewide organization that supports people facing vision loss or significant developmental challenges, as well as children in foster care and their families. It serves more than 21,000 individuals annually, with programs that aim to improve health, well-being, and quality of life. The organization emphasizes collaboration across traditional service silos to address the intersecting issues faced by children, youth, adults, and families. It positions itself as the only organization in California offering specialized programs for both vulnerable children, youth and families and individuals of all ages with vision loss or intellectual/developmental disabilities. In late 2025, the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Wayfinder as Nonprofit Team of the Year.
