This tradition and commitment to helping others began in 1949 when the late Thomas (Frank) and Rita M. Welch, founded the John Scott House in their home in Braintree, Massachusetts. What began with Mrs. Welch, a nurse, caring for frail elders in their home, grew into a leader in Massachusetts retirement housing, senior services, and senior care.
