Founded in 2006, West Coast Watershed is a dynamic partnership focused on science-based watershed assessment and planning in the coastal watersheds of California. West Coast Watershed advances innovative conservation and stewardship initiatives with an emphasis on integrated water planning, landscape ecology, land use, watershed mapping and GIS analysis. Clients and collaborators include local, state and federal agencies, foundations, tribes, private businesses, non-profits and resource conservation districts. The firm’s two principals – Karen Gaffney and Katherine Gledhill – have been leaders in the field of watershed assessment and conservation for over twenty five years. Our projects integrate multiple objectives - including community health, economic vitality and environmental enhancement - and we strive to gain the best return on investment in everything we do.
