Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC) operates as a generation and transmission electric cooperative. It is based in Anadarko, Oklahoma, and maintains facilities in Anadarko, Moore, Mooreland, and Hugo. WFEC is a member of the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, the national umbrella for electric cooperatives across the United States. The organization is a mid-sized utility cooperative. 

In recent years, WFEC has pursued collaborations to expand its generation and transmission capabilities, including a 2024 partnership with Sargent & Lundy LLC to support plant expansion. Earlier, the cooperative entered into a large-scale wind, solar and energy storage project through a 2019 arrangement with NextEra Energy Resources.
