Westward Seafoods Inc. is a Bellevue, Washington-based fisheries company that has produced premium sustainable Alaska seafood since 1991. It operates three processing facilities in Dutch Harbor—the Captains Bay Plant, the Alyeska Plant, and Northern Victor—each focused on Alaska pollock and other species such as cod, halibut, and several crab varieties. The company emphasizes sustainable sourcing and participates in the Marine Stewardship Council, underscoring its commitment to responsible fisheries globally. The Alyeska Plant concentrates on Alaska pollock production, and Alyeska Seafoods, Inc., formed in 1985 and incorporated in 1986, merged with Westward Seafoods in January 2025. Westward Seafoods became the principal owner of the Northern Victor in February 2022, with the stationary plant permanently moored in Dutch Harbor. In March 2026, the parent company formerly known as Maruha Nichiro adopted the name Umios, signaling a global corporate umbrella under which Westward Seafoods operates.
