William Penn Charter School is a coeducational, pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade college preparatory school in Philadelphia, founded in 1689 by members of the Religious Society of Friends. Guided by Quaker testimonies, the school aims to enliven the spirit, train the mind, cultivate the aesthetic, and develop the body while emphasizing service and social responsibility. Weekly Meeting for Worship anchors school life, supporting a belief in the inherent worth of every individual and fostering respect. The program seeks to honor diversity by embracing multiple cultures and voices within a framework that values excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. Faculty collaborate across divisions to design engaging, broadly oriented curricula with opportunities for deep exploration of students' interests, preparing them for a complex world. In 2024, the school partnered with EwingCole to plan facilities aimed at supporting 21st-century learning.
