Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America functions as the national body representing distributors in the wine and spirits market. Established in 1943 and based in Washington, D.C., the organization has more than 366 corporate members spanning the United States and the District of Columbia.

Together, the wholesale wine and spirits sector contributes significant tax revenue to federal, state, and local governments, totaling more than $55 billion each year. WSWA's membership represents roughly 80% of all wines and spirits sold at wholesale in the United States. In March 2026 the association released an educational resource on intoxicating hemp drinks.
