WineShop At Home operates as a direct seller of exclusive handcrafted artisan wines, with its headquarters in Napa Valley, California. The company relies on independent wine consultants who conduct in-home tastings across the United States to help customers discover and purchase wines. This model emphasizes an experiential approach to wine selection rooted in personal introductions and tastings rather than traditional storefront retail.

It serves adults who value guided tastings at home, inviting hosts and guests to participate, join a wine club, or become customers. The business sits within the beverage manufacturing industry, using a direct-sales structure to connect producers with consumers through a nationwide consultant network. The organization operates with a mid-sized team, reflecting a national reach without specifying exact headcount.
