Founded in 1969 by Don Winkelman, Sr., and his sons, Winkelman Building Co. LLC began as a general contractor focused on commercial and institutional work in Central Minnesota. In 1983, long-standing employees Duane Schultz and Keith Schupp purchased the company and expanded its capabilities into a regional full-service construction firm offering Construction Management, General Contracting, and Design/Build services. Today, Winkelman operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Bradbury Stamm Construction, Inc., maintaining a strong local orientation while benefiting from broader resources and a commitment to safety. Based in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, the company pursues a diverse project mix that includes governmental facilities, healthcare and recreational facilities, educational campuses, multi-family housing, manufacturing plants, churches, assisted living centers, office complexes, and historic renovations. Cynthia Schultz, Duane Schultz’s daughter-in-law, serves as President and leads the local management team, sustaining the firm’s local focus within the Bradbury Stamm organization. In May 2026, Bradbury Stamm Construction hosted a Subcontractor Appreciation Event, signaling ongoing collaboration within the group.
