Winkelman was founded by Don Winkelman, Sr. and his sons in 1969, providing services as a general contractor focused on commercial and institutional construction in Central Minnesota. In 1983, two of the company’s long-term employees, Duane Schultz and Keith Schupp, purchased and began to grow the business. Over the years the Winkelman office built upon its knowledge and reputation to become a regional full-service construction company offering Construction Management, General Contractor and Design/Build services. Projects include governmental facilities, health care and recreational facilities, multi-family units, educational facilities, manufacturing facilities, churches, assisted living centers, office complexes, and historic renovations.

Cynthia Schultz, Duane Schultz’s daughter-in-law, serves as President of Winkelman and works with the tenured local management team and maintains the strong local focus. Winkelman is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bradbury Stamm Construction, Inc. and move forward with enhanced financial stability, strong local focus, strong commitment to safety and enhanced construction resources and processes.
