The Washington Institute of Surgical Engineering is a cadaveric bioskills center with complete surgical training and lecture capabilities located in Sterling, Virginia - an ideal venue for comprehensive surgical education programs and implantable device development activities.

It houses two cadaveric surgical laboratories holding up to 8 surgical stations with ample room for large equipment.   Our lecture room provides a didactic learning experience for 50 attendees.  The facility also houses a board room, an informal breakout room, specimen prep room, cadaver refrigeration, equipment storage and two locker rooms.

The Center has complete connectivity.  Monitors display lecture materials and surgical demonstrations throughout the center.

The convenience factor is large at WISE.  WISE is located right outside of Washington, DC.  Twelve minutes from Dulles International Airport (IAD) and a shorter taxi drive to numerous major hotel chains and restaurants.  Those driving in from Washington DC run ‘against rush hour traffic’, a fact that is not lost on local residents.  Our location greatly minimizes the logistical challenges in managing numerous physician invitees.  This ease of access makes for attendees that are focused on your curriculum.
