The Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Stamford, Connecticut, established in 1997 as a 501(c)(3) organization. It belongs to the SBA-supported network of women’s business centers, which numbers over 120 nationwide. The center provides programs designed to help aspiring, emerging, and established entrepreneurs boost productivity, improve preparation, and pursue their business and financial goals. WBDC offers small business training and counseling aimed at guiding entrepreneurs through startup, growth, and transition phases, along with financial coaching tailored to individual goals, including budgeting, seminars, and long-term support related to credit, wealth-building, and savings.
