Israel's leading women's organization actively promotes care in the community through its many volunteer-led women's and youth centers and programs to enhance the quality of life of women, children, youth, families and the elderly. WIZO operates some 800 projects, programs and institutions providing crucial social services, support, welfare, early learning and educational solutions to create an equal Israeli society, with great emphasis on strengthening the weaker sectors and advancing the status of women. WIZO's vast network of care includes shelters for battered women, foster homes, youth villages as well as day care centers for babies from six months old and comprehensive care for vulnerable children and youth. WIZO is a non-partisan international movement supported by a global force of women volunteers in federations worldwide. ויצו, תנועת נשים ציונית, אקטיביסטית וגלובלית המושתתת על ערכי ההתנדבות, מובילה מצוינות בחינוך ועשייה חברתית חדשנית עבור כלל החברה בישראל, תוך שימת דגש על צרכי הפרט המשתנים בכל שלבי החיים. ויצו מפעילה כ-800 פרויקטים, תכניות ומוסדות המספקים שירותים חברתיים חיוניים, תמיכה, רווחה, למידה ופתרונות חינוכיים ליצירת חברה ישראלית שוויונית, תוך דגש רב על חיזוק המגזרים החלשים וקידום מעמד האישה. רשת הטיפול העצומה של ויצו כוללת מקלטים לנשים מוכות, בתי אומנה, כפרי נוער וכן מעונות יום לתינוקות מגיל חצי שנה וטיפול מקיף בילדים ובני נוער פגיעים. ויצו היא תנועה בינלאומית לא מפלגתית הנתמכת על ידי כוח עולמי של נשים מתנדבות בפדרציות ברחבי העולם.
