Our mission is to offer life-changing education and employment opportunities for every individual in Texas enrolled in Vocational Rehabilitation services who has a desire to work.

Work Ready started in 2007 with a mission to open a new world of employment possibilities for individuals with disabilities. Introducing a new model for supporting customers through the employment process with an innovative team approach, Work Ready experienced tremendous success with customer placements. After years of effectively assisting individuals in Dallas/Fort Worth through the hiring process and on-site job training, Work Ready recognized a need for improved employment services and expanded statewide.

In 2017, Work Ready was a pioneering partner with the state of Texas in helping launch new employment services for high school students (SEAL, Work Experience), creating thousands of internship and educational work-based learning opportunities for students. Work Ready incorporated additional student services, providing in-classroom education programs such as Vocational Adjustment Training (VAT) in 2019 and Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) in 2024.

Over the years, Work Ready has continued to excel in placement and student services. Today, we are proud to serve thousands of individuals across the state, reaching from the Panhandle to the Gulf Coast, and from Longview to Lubbock.
