WORKac is an architecture and planning firm based in New York, founded by Amale Andraos and Dan Wood. The practice concentrates on public, cultural, and civic projects that address environmental and social concerns and explore how design can redefine living, working, and communal life through integrated architecture, landscape, and ecological systems. Through work across the United States and beyond, the firm has earned recognition for projects such as the DvF Headquarters in New York and the Blaffer Museum of Art in Houston, and for its involvement with major institutions like the Chicago Architecture Biennale and the Museum of Modern Art. Current projects include two community centers in Mexico City, the North Boulder Public Library, and a new space for the Peoples Theater Project. Recent activity includes expanding facilities to New York with a new cultural center in Inwood, New York, and a partnership with Ignacio Urquiza Architects to create a multi-level concrete community centre in an underserved neighborhood aimed at regenerating social life.
