Writing My Own Book is a full-service coaching, publishing and ghost writing service, which grew out of Writing as a Ghost (established 2007). We experience words as art, thus moving into the sphere of publishing was natural. From our inception, we have been information architects. Now, our primary focus is assisting writers of all skill levels to achieve their publishing goals. We empower our clients so they can choose the publishing path which best works for them. Because we began writing anything from eBooks and white papers to SEO optimized website content and SEO articles, we use this experience to help our clients learn how to market their own books. We introduce them to common-sense social media marketing. Because design has always been our passion, we enhanced our writing skills with coursework in HTML and CSS in 2010. This enabled us to begin modifying WordPress websites to provide sales platforms for our client's books. We pursued additional coursework in design and layout at Clark Community College, Lynda.com and online programs, so we could design covers that sell books. Because excellence and consistency has always been our quest, we began using InDesign for picture book layouts in 2013. We switched from using MS Word to designing all our books with InDesign in 2015. We find that conversions to all eBook platforms are almost flawless. We learned photo editing techniques using GIMP before moving on to Photoshop. We have also explored Inkscape and Illustrator as logo design tools. You will find we focus on cost effective ways to accomplish your goals. If you want to work with someone who values keeping your costs manageable, while seeking excellence in the final product, our company is the one for you.
