AKITA Drilling is an onshore drilling contractor that works with exploration and production companies in the U.S. and internationally.
Our drilling rigs are among the industry's newest, and most are purpose-built for North America's unconventional shale plays. We offer the latest AC drive technologies, PLC-based controls, automated pipe handling and large-capacity mud pumps.  Additionally, multi-well skidding and X-Y walking systems combined with a modular designs make our rigs highly mobile. AKITA is currently drilling primarily in the U.S. Rocky Mountain region with rigs in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado, including the Niobrara Shale; the Williston Basin in North Dakota, including the Bakken Shale; the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma and Texas; and different regions of Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
