Y-12 Credit Union is a federally chartered not for profit organization, owned by its members, offering a wide range of financial services to its members/owners.  The Credit Union was chartered in 1950, to serve the employees of the Union Carbide Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Production Plant.  In 2003 the Credit Union switched to a community charter and now serves 117,000+ members in 8 counties.  The Credit Union currently has14 branches with assets currently totaling more than $1B and 300+ employees. Y-12 CU is positioned for steady growth while maintaining the credit union principles of safety, soundness, financial strength, trustworthiness and excellence in member service.
