The York County School Division is located in the beautiful coastal region of Virginia, midway between Virginia Beach and Richmond and serves more than 13,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The division's slogan, Embrace - Engage - Empower, represents our mission to ensure every student is valued, supported and challenged through learning experiences, which prepare them for a successful future. To achieve our mission, YCSD provides a broad array of educational programs to meet the needs and goals of each students including a variety of dual-credit and AP courses, gifted and talented programs, International Baccalaureate studies, Governor's School programs, Career and Technical programs, and a School of the Arts.
