Nurses are rated the most trusted health care professional. 1,004 randomly chosen adults were questioned in a Gallup Poll, by telephone, of their opinion on the ethics and honesty of varied professions. There were 23 professions included, seven professions from health care: nurses, veterinarians, medical doctors, pharmacists, dentists, psychiatrists and chiropractors. Nurses were the highest profession perceived of honesty and ethical standards by 83% of the adults participating in this poll.
