Homes First is a nonprofit real estate organization based in Lacey, Washington, that aims to create and maintain safe, healthy, and affordable rental homes for people who need them most. Since its founding in 1990, the organization has helped more than 4,000 individuals secure a dependable home with a landlord who treats tenants with dignity and respect. It operates as an Equal Housing Opportunity agency, reflecting a commitment to non-discriminatory access to housing. As a smaller to mid-sized nonprofit in the real estate sector, it concentrates on providing stable rental housing for underserved communities.

A notable recent development involved collaboration with local partners to advance its mission; in 2022, Homes First partnered with Lacey Veterans Hub, and worked with the City of Lacey and North Thurston School District on property acquisitions in support of its program. These partnerships illustrate the organization's approach of community collaboration to expand access to safe and affordable housing.
