Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) is a New Orleans–based nonprofit in the Individual and Family Services sector that supports underserved young people and their families through education, mentoring, enrichment, and employment readiness programs. Founded in 2004, YEP operates across five neighborhoods in the Greater New Orleans region and serves more than 900 youths and family members annually, addressing barriers such as illiteracy, poverty, and crime. The organization offers four core programs—YEP Educates, YEP Enriches, YEP Mentors, and YEP Works—to provide a continuum of services intended to help participants succeed in school and within their communities.
