YTC America Inc. is the North American corporate research and development center of Yazaki Corporation, a global company with operations in over 40 countries, employing in excess of 250,000 people. YTC America’s activities are focused in two major areas: leading-edge materials and process development, and development of next-generation vehicle-related information communication technology.

The YTC America Inc. facility features about 40,000 square feet of laboratory space equipped with wet labs for chemical synthesis, thin film printing equipment, metal and polymer processing equipment, electronic testing, and state-of-the art analytical equipment. All metal and polymer processing equipment is sized to run prototype production for pilot-scale demonstrations, and analytical capabilities include high resolution optical and electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and a wide range of chemical spectroscopy, thermal and physical analysis equipment.
