1776--The year of independence for the United States of America, the greatest country the world has ever known. Over 230 years later, this date means little to many. In a time when our country is changing faster and more radically than ever before, action is needed. Knowledge is needed. America is often taken for granted by far too many people, and it's easy to forget why this nation is so special. The U.S. population being proud of its country is necessary for our way of life to continue and the American Dream to live on. This is why we created 1776 United; to remind those of us who may have forgotten or have never learned what America truly is. To us, fashion is the perfect instrument in rekindling pride in our country, and at the same time we can create great looking, great fitting clothing. It's a win-win! To explain our purpose better, we'll look to Ronald Reagan, who said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.” We believe that each one of our shirts acts as a miniature history book; A cotton reminder of who we are, where we live, and how proud we should be. Stand with us against the oncoming storm. Let us become a force to secure a foothold for generations to come.
