What We Do Aamodt / Plumb is a team of architects, designers, and builders whose mission is to create housing that is good, clean, and fair. We are socially and environmentally conscious practitioners that want to leverage our skills for the greater good. In 2020 we shifted our priorities from designing high-end custom homes to responsibly developing market-rate and affordable housing. We have grown from an architecture firm to design-build to architect-as-developer in order to increase our impact and serve a larger segment of our community. Why We Do It Statistically, people spend over 90% of their lives indoors; usually at home or work. The focus of our practice is on the everyday spaces, which we believe should support and inspire people. We know firsthand the importance of designing the “everyday”. When Mette was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002 our most important project became to design our own lives for long-term health, happiness and productivity. Our ability to prioritize and find simple ways to do complex tasks has influenced our design practice and allowed us to develop a unique approach to serving our clients. How We Do It At Aamodt / Plumb we believe in “Better Living through Design” this motto guides our projects, our office culture, and the way we interact with one another. We treat our team members and clients as family, making sure that they are being taken care of, getting good value, and a positive experience. We drink beers together on Fridays, and we throw parties for our clients’ when their projects are complete. We love what we do and we want to share it.
