AFM Advanced Manufacturing Technologies is a Spanish association that represents manufacturers of machine tools, accessories, parts and tools, and it serves as a bridge to promote internationalisation and technological innovation among its member companies through its INVEMA Foundation for Machine Tool Research. Headquartered in San Sebastian in the Basque Country, with an office in Tianjin, China, the organization coordinates industry-wide collaboration and fosters connections with government bodies and professional associations. It also provides a broad range of member services and organizes key industry events, including the annual Members' General Meeting and the biennial Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technologies Conference, as well as co-organising the Spanish Machine Tool Biennial with the Bilbao exhibition centre. AFM represents about 90% of Spain's machine tool and advanced manufacturing technology sector. As part of its broader role, AFM is connected to European industry groups such as CECIMO and ECTA, and supports its members through initiatives that emphasize international reach and technological development. A recent development is the May 2026 appointment of Carmen Pinto, CEO of Nicolás Correa S.A., as President of AFM.
