Founded in 2007, Agencie is a New York based architecture and engineering practice that specializes in the design of civic, aviation, retail and hospitality projects.  We also design select, extraordinary residential properties.  

Our services encompass structural engineering, façade engineering, architecture and interiors design.  The name Agencie came from the desire to combine the ingenuity of structural engineering with the beauty of design.  “Agency” means to “have the ability and power to control outcome”. By unifying engineering and architecture, Agencie delivers creativity with the technical ingenuity to truly transform buildings and spaces.  

The unique interdisciplinary teams behind our work blend technical grit with imagination. Our approach is to simplify, clarify, and establish rhythm.  We create compelling structures, buildings, pedestrian spaces, and canopies that are engineered to perform, and please.

We’ve been fortunate to collaborate with extraordinary clients who share our passion to shape the future.  We partnered with the City of New York and City of Toronto to design and engineer one of the most ingenious urban initiatives.  Our iconic project, Urban Umbrella, transformed the dark boxy sidewalk shed into a gracefully unfurling umbrella.  This is one example of our ability to transform a basic urban element into a distinctive and beautiful architectural feature.  

Agencie’s track record as experts in assessment, experience enhancement, capital improvement planning, renovation and operations has promoted the financial sustainability of our clients’ assets. Agencie approaches projects from the vantage point of the Client.  Simply put, we design with the purpose of maximizing the use of every square-inch of a project.  Our design promotes the value of the asset.
