Accurate Infrastructure Data, Inc. (A/I/DATA) is a professional service firm and small business established in January, 2005 to provide subsurface utility engineering, surveying and mapping services to engineers, surveyors and construction industry professionals. Services include subsurface utility infrastructure records research, investigation, field marking, surveying and depiction or mapping of the location of all types of subsurface utility systems. Underground utility locations provided by A/I/DATA are used to organize and plan the development and redevelopment of infrastructure, transportation, and all types of building projects. Using the documented results supplied by A/I/DATA, clients are able to improve the reliability and constructability of their projects, reduce the risk of utility damage, and avoid project delays. A/I/DATA follows a disciplined approach to records research, employs thorough field investigation methods using state-of-the-art detection instruments, captures field data using total station and GPS based instruments and supplies effective documentation including maps and reports. Where feasible, the practices followed by A/I/DATA are modeled on the industry specifications defined in CI/ASCE 38-02, Standard Guideline for the Collection and Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utility Data (ASCE 38-02). As described in ASCE 38-02, these practices are generally known as Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), the surveying, mapping, and data management components of which are offered by A/I/DATA.
