Air Moldova is the national air carrier and the largest Moldavian airline. Founded by presidential decree of January 12, 1993, Air Moldova is one of the most recognized brands from Moldova. From its hub at Chisinau International Airport, Air Moldova operates direct flights to 17 destinations - Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Bucharest/Otopeni, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London ⁄ Gatwick, Athens, Larnaca, Rome ⁄ Fiumicino, Milan ⁄ Malpensa, Verona, Paris ⁄ Charles de Gaulle, Moscow ⁄ Domodedovo, St.-Petersburg ⁄ Pulkovo2, Kiev, offering to its passengers two classes of service - Business and Economy. Air Moldova operates season flights to Varna, Sofia, Antalya, Bodrum and Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt). In order to meet the constantly growing needs of its passengers, Air Moldova is constantly increasing its fleet and at present it consists from airliners type Airbus-320, Embraer 120 and Embraer 190jet. Today Air Moldova is an airline with an excellent safety record and operational reliability. Special quality audits and inspections of flight operations, maintenance, ground operations and training are carried out at least once every year, and Air Moldova’s quality system meets stringent JAR-OPS and Civil Aviation Authority requirements. Auditors are trained in accordance with the international standards in order to fully meet requirements and to provide passengers’ comfort and safety both in the air and on the ground.
