Air Nostrum nació en Valencia en el año 1994 con el objetivo de convertirse en la aerolínea regional de referencia en el sur de Europa.
 
Con más de 70.000 vuelos y más de 4 millones de pasajeros anuales, Air Nostrum es la compañía líder de la aviación regional en España y una de las mayores aerolíneas europeas de su clase. De capital privado, opera para el Grupo Iberia bajo la marca Iberia Regional Air Nostrum más de 200 vuelos diarios con origen o destino a cerca de 60 aeropuertos en 7 países de Europa y el norte de África, factura más de 400 millones de euros al año y cuenta con cerca de 1.400 empleados.   
 
Su gestión, calidad y prestigio le han hecho merecedora de múltiples reconocimientos, entre ellos el premio a la Aerolínea del Año otorgado por la ERA (European Regional Airline Association) en siete ocasiones —5 en categoría Oro y 2 en categoría Bronce— y la “Palma de Oro a la Excelencia Sostenida”, distinción a perpetuidad que concede la misma asociación por mantener unos altos estándares de calidad en su operativa.

With 70,000 annual flights and 4 million passengers, Air Nostrum is, today, considered the leading regional aviation company in Spain. It is also considered one of the most important European regional aviation airlines. Funded by private capital, it operates over 200 daily flight operations to and from some 60 airports located in 7 European and North African countries as part of the Iberia Group under the brand name of Iberia Regional Air Nostrum. It has an annual revenue of 400 million euros and approximately 1,400 employees.
 
Air Nostrum has, thanks to its first-rate management, high service quality and renowned prestige, been awarded a number of important sector awards, including the ERA Airline of the Year Award on 7 different occasions and the Palme d'Or for Sustained Excellence.
