Production began at the Eddyville facility in 1986, and the operation later broadened its portfolio to include threonine in 2002 and AjiPro-L Rumen Protected Lysine in 2011. In 2018, the entity changed its name to Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition North America, Inc. to align with the group’s global presence, while remaining a wholly owned subsidiary of Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Group, Inc. A September 2018 update notes ongoing facility planning activity, including the development of a site map to illustrate secondary containment volumes for each process area.
