Alice Lloyd College is a private, liberal arts college, located in Pippa Passes, Kentucky. For over 100 years the College has valued providing the youth of Appalachia an opportunity to obtain a character-based education focused on service learning, without paying any out-of-pocket tuition expenses. To achieve its vision, the College requires all students to participate in one of only nine work colleges programs recognized by the Work College Consortium in the United States. 

The ALC Student Work Program allows the College to pursue their goal of graduating students with little to no debt while producing leaders for Appalachia in an atmosphere in which Christian values are maintained. Furthermore, ALC assists deserving students in obtaining advanced study beyond their program at Alice Lloyd through the Gatton Winston Scholars Program, the only program of its kind in America. Alice Lloyd College completes the K-college model through The June Buchanan School, one of the only laboratory schools in the state.
