The American Cornhole Organization (ACO) serves as the official governing body for the sport of cornhole, a role it has held since 2005. It is headquartered in Camp Dennison, Ohio, and coordinates the sport’s formal rules, sanctioned products, tournament listings, and event information. By providing standardized competition frameworks and a central source for events, the ACO supports players, organizers, and spectators who rely on credible governance. As a small organization within the spectator sports space, it focuses on the structured development of cornhole competition. In 2025, the organization announced plans to host its first Canada Major tournament at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, signaling international expansion. This development underscores the ACO’s ongoing effort to organize and promote cornhole events beyond the United States.
